Enrollment History

Our digital database only contains student data from fall of 2000 forward. If there is a record of student data before fall 2000, it is documented in various paper reports (some of which were updated via hand written notes).

The enrollment figures that appear on this page were taken from the following sources: The California State University Statistical Abstracts were used for overall enrollment figures from 1935 to 2005/06 and for student enrollments by discipline from 1975 through 2005/06. The remaining figures were obtained from various reports from the Office of the Registrar and the Office of Admissions and Records. These files are not complete and therefore there are years with no data to report.

Enrollment Data (1913 to 2013)

Data from 1913 to 1935 is scarce and somewhat unreliable. In 1935, Cal Poly Humboldt changed its name to Cal Poly Humboldt College and record keeping improved. The following is a document that someone stopped updating in 2006, until IRP revived it in 2013.

Enrollment and FTES Data (1935 to 2013)

Data 1935 is to present is much more reliable. The following report includes head count and FTES for each semester, acadmeic year, and college year.
